Our organisation is located in Arnhemland in the Northern Territory one of Australia’s most remote and pristine areas.  An area renowned for its people, the Yolngu, who remain steadfast and strong in maintaining their cultural beliefs; practiced daily through expression, story, art, music, song and dance.

Miwatj Health operate five health centers providing access to health promotion, eye care and public health services to over 10,000 people in the East Arnhemland region with our head office located in the Township of Nhulunbuy a service sub for the East Arnhemland region.  We provide a community controlled comprehensive health service to our clients and promote one of the largest and most extensive Tackling Indigenous Smoking programs in Australia.
